Jesse’s career in the real estate industry began over a decade ago, when he built his first project - a garden cottage in Santa Cruz that has been an AirBnB vacation rental for the past 12 years. His passion for real estate was fueled by a strong interest in urban development and the ways in which property can shape communities. As a real estate developer, he has managed projects from initial concept to completion, with an emphasis on sustainable growth and thoughtful design. His role as a land use consultant allows him to guide clients through the complexities of zoning, land use policies, and planning regulations.
In addition to his work in real estate, Jesse conducts academic research in labor economics and public policy at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, where he teaches and advises master’s degrees students.
